6% increase in slab production in Hormozgan Steel Company

The CEO of Hormozgan Steel Company said that by setting another monthly record in May, the company's production increased to 312,802 tons of slab during the first two months of this year, and there was a growth of 6%.

“Hormozgan Steel Company, as one of the leading steel manufacturers in the field of production in Iran, has always moved forward and especially in the last two years, even despite the severe restrictions in the field of energy, it has proven to break daily, monthly and annual records,” Maroufkhani said.

“In April, we were able to produce 156,237 tons of slab and surpass the record of December 2022. But this record has continued in May 2023 and we were able to witness another record by producing 156,565 tons of slab in this month,” he explained.

“With two monthly production records since the beginning of this year, we were able to produce a total of 312,802 tons of slab, which shows a 6% growth compared to the same period last year,” he added.
