Zob Ahan Isfahan was honored to receive the 8th license to use the standard mark for the ammonium sulfate by-product.

Mohammad Sadri, the quality manager of ESCO, said: In addition to producing construction sections, rails, mine arches, etc., Isfahan iron smelter also produces various by-products, one of which is ammonium sulfate. This product is processed and packaged in the management of coke and chemical products of the company and is generally used as an agricultural fertilizer.

He added: Considering the sensitivity in the field of food and environment, in 2018, the National Standards Organization of Iran introduced National Standard No. 76 as a mandatory standard for the production and import of this product. Sulphate fertilizer test has been done.

Quality manager of Esfahan Steel Company stated: Until 1401, the National Standard Organization of Iran only approved the free acidity of less than five hundred percent for ammonium sulfate fertilizer, but after conducting field studies, it was determined that ammonium sulfate fertilizer with a lower pH can cause two factors: salinity and reduce the alkalinity of the soil, which is very effective in the growth and development of plants, so this standard was revised and ammonium sulfate type 2 with a maximum free acidity of two tenths of percent was accepted by the organization of standard.
