Mining News Agency - The joint meeting between the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and representatives of 15 European countries is being held in Tehran on Tuesday.
Mining News - The purpose of this meeting is to attract the capital and develop joint ventures and joint investment opportunities will be provided to investors.
Chairman of the Board of IMIDRO Mehdi Karbassian and the Director General of the Iranian Foreign Ministry for Department of Coordination and Strategy of Economic Affairs Fereidoun Haghbin welcomed ambassadors from Bulgaria, Spain, Serbia, Croatia, Romania, Belarus and Portugal and eight commercial attachés from the countries of Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, France, Greece and Germany.
At this meeting, European representatives stressed the strong will of the European Union to develop cooperation with Iran.
Mr. Karbassian insisted that there is an opportunity of direct and indirect investment worth $81 million in different mining sectors of Iran.
