According to Mining News Pro - Khuzestan Steel Sales Vice President said: From the beginning, we did not have 20% tax for the export of sponge iron, and until today we have exported this product with 5%, which of course, this percentage is not reasonable even in the summer when we have a surplus of products.

Reza Vakili, referring to the export duties in the current situation, said: Today, the main component in the country is the amount of production and demand. According to the statistics published by the Ministry of Safety and the Ingot Steel Manufacturers Association, the maximum apparent consumption of this product is about 17 to 18 million tons. In fact, imposing duties on a product that has a surplus in the country is illogical and actually causes a knot in the production work and leads to a decrease in production.

The vice president of Khuzestan steel sales regarding the export of sponge iron with the golden signature of the minister stated: The export of steel has nothing to do with the issuance of the minister's license. Because this work has a specific mechanism and the products can be exported by following the process after sending to the customs. Therefore, it is unlikely that the export licenses of some products are from a specific person.
