Ebrahimi further stated: In order to cut off dependence on foreign countries and localize parts and equipment in the steel industry, it is necessary to enter as an investor with companies related to Khuzestan steel and to accompany knowledge-based companies in these matters.
 
Kamran Taher, Director of Research, Technology and Optimization of Khuzestan Steel said: This machine was built for the first time in the world with the cooperation of a knowledge-based company, the management and staff of the Khuzestan Steel Laboratory, centered on the management and staff of research, technology and optimization of Khuzestan Steel, and it has no foreign equivalent.

The total iron measuring device is designed and built to measure the percentage of total and metallic iron in sponge iron produced in the direct reduction process. Before this, measuring the percentage of total and metallic iron in sponge iron was done by titration method and using chemical reactions of dissolving iron in acid, which had high costs in addition to potential risks.
 
Tahir said about the design and construction of this device: The theory of the operation of this device is very simple and it is based on the relationship between the intensity of magnetic abduction and the purity of iron in such a way that the purer the iron, the higher its abduction in a static and stable magnetic field. Is. The function of the device is such that two ferromagnetic metal jaws with minimum magnetic hysteresis, maximum permeability and the highest possible plasticity, apply a magnetic field to a standard sample of powdered sponge iron with a certain purity. Then, the amount of magnetic force is measured with an accurate gravity sensor and the gravitational force is related to the percentage of purity of standardized sponge iron with a mathematical function defined inside the smart processor.
 
He went on to say: By repeating the experiment, the regression function of transforming the gravity index into the percentage of total iron is defined. Then, using the intelligent data bank, the device measures the non-standard samples of the factory production using the regression function. In the test with the total measurement device, unlike the method compared to the test with titration, no acid is used, and in addition to high economic savings, it follows complete safety. On the other hand, in this method, the test time has changed from about one and a half hours to less than 5 minutes, and the importance of this issue in reporting the beginning and end of remit sponge iron production is very vital and economical, because from the entry of remit into the furnaces and the arrival of high-quality sponge iron It avoids the waste warehouse due to the short test time.

The unveiling ceremony of this device was held on Tuesday, December 22, 1401, in the iron-making laboratory of Khuzestan Steel Company.
