During an event with the presence of the chief executive Zarand Steel Complex announced that two iron ore concentrate dewatering and concentrate dryer start their work from this day. In this ceremony, a group of Midhco managers in Tehran and Kerman offices were also present through video conference.

“I hope that the continuation of such projects will lead to an increase in the production of high-quality and competitive products at the global level,” said Ghasemi, chairman of the board of Midhco Holding.

Also, Ali Asghar Pourmand, chief executive of Midhco believes that one of the results of proper management is the efficient use of resources, and this is what is pursued in these two projects.

“In Midco's inclusive and sustainable development model, one of the defined projects is material and energy management which include these two new projects,” added Pourmand.

The dewatering project recovers 2 million cubic meters of water from the 3 million cubic meters of water used in the production of 4 million tons of iron ore concentrate and prevents its wastage along with waste.

The dryer project reduces the moisture content of the concentrate from about 13% to 8% and has the capacity of 2.5 million tons of iron ore concentrate.
