Mining News Pro - Loadscan has launched a new volume measurement scanner designed for mining’s harshest surface and underground environments.
The next evolution of Loadscan’s LVS Load Volume Scanner, the Mine Payload Scanner (MPS) can accurately scan both small and large underground trucks and provide load status alerts to drivers and operators in real time, enabling immediate corrective action to be taken.
The MPS scanner comes with upgraded mining-spec cabling, rugged components and an IP67 ingress rating, while the unit can operate in temperatures of between -40°C to +60°C.
It comes as a result of ongoing collaborations between Loadscan and its international mining customers, tinkering the technology to ensure it is best suited to the harshest mining environments.
Loadscan chief executive officer Carey West said the new technology comes in response to consumer demand.
“Our customers have been asking us for specific features for their mines and we have responded by developing the brand new MPS unit, which sets a new standard for payload scanning in the mining industry,” he said.
Loadscan solidified its mining capabilities in 2021 with the development of the specialist Mine Payload Technologies (MPT) mining division.
MPT will complete deeper analysis and deliver deeper insights of the sector, leading to greater technological advancements and improvements.
With over 20 years of industry experience, Loadscan’s advanced volume scanning and measurement systems provide the detailed insights to optimise production loading and throughput on mine sites.
Loadscan will present the MPS scanner at MINExpo 2021, which occurs from September 13-15. It will also be showcased in Acapulco for XXXIV Convención Internacional de Minería in October as well as IMARC in Melbourne in January.
