Mining News Pro - Austmine has recognised the WA Mining Club as an associate partner in a signing which promises to maximise the spread of insights and innovations from across the resources sector.
The WA Mining Club is almost 50-year-old and includes industry leaders, government representatives, suppliers, researchers and professionals such as geologists, engineers and economists.
Vice president of the WA Mining Club Craig Hook said its members understood the important role they play in the sector.
“(Our members) recognise the power of networking and that sharing ideas to improve the sustainability of the mining industry is good business – partnering with Austmine will further strengthen idea sharing in METS,” Hook said.
“The WA Mining Club has grown by actively promoting the inclusion of entrepreneurs, women, young professionals and Indigenous businesses to leverage the benefits of this diversity.”
Austmine’s 2021 Conference and Exhibition will provide a perfect platform to showcase the partnership and initiate some imperative dialogue between the industry’s top decision makers.
Austmine chief executive officer Christine Gibbs Stewart believes the partnership is ideal for both parties to achieve their full potential as leaders in industry cohesion.
“We are delighted to be working more closely with the WA Mining Club. The synergies between our organisations provide a valuable opportunity for members from both associations to share sector knowledge and continue to build a globally advanced and sustainable mining industry,” Gibbs Stewart said.
“As an Associate Partner, Austmine will work alongside the WA Mining Club to broaden the reach of the mining community and provide solutions to major challenges impacting the sector both now and into the future.
“The Austmine 2021 Conference and Exhibition being held in Perth from 25-27 May this year will provide an excellent opportunity to explore new and innovative solutions and we look forward to welcoming WA Mining Club members to the event.”
