Albemarle to use ARMS Reliability management solution
Mining News Pro - Albemarle has chosen ARMS Reliability’s asset strategy management software to enhance maintenance for its Wodgina lithium joint venture (JV) project with Mineral Resources (MinRes) in Western Australia.
  Zoom:

Albemarle and MinRes joined forces under the JV, called MARBL last year, which sees spodumene from MinRes’ Wodginga spodumene mine processed into lithium hydroxide by Albemarle at its Kemerton plant in Western Australia.

The plant is currently under construction and is expected to become one of the largest lithium plants in Western Australia, with 25,000 tonnes per annum lithium hydroxide conversion trains being built at the plant.

Albemarle selected ARMS Reliability’s OnePM Management tool to provide new maintenance strategies for the plant.

The management tool allows companies to use data for the construction of specific asset management strategies, which can then be monitored for a period of time to ensure adequate performance is consistently achieved.

“We’re pleased to welcome Albemarle to the growing community of OnePM users and look forward to supporting them through the asset strategy management process,” ARMS Reliability chief executive Jason Apps said.

ARMS Reliability provides a range fo solutions to major companies in the mining, oil and gas, power utility and manufacturing sectors by combining cost, risk and performance to encourage growth from its customers.

Albemarle is expected to commission its Kemerton lithium hydroxide plant at full capacity in the first half of 2021.
