Mining News Pro - Copper production of the Kazakh company KAZ Mining, which is the largest copper company in the country, grew in the first half of 2018.
According to Mining News Pro, Between January and June, the production of copper mining company KAZ increased 18 percent to 139.6 thousand tons.
The main reason for this growth was increased processing at the Aktogay plant.
In the second half of this year, the company achieved its nominal capacity.
In the first half of this year, Bozshakol GOK produced 49.8 thousand tons of copper, Aktogay GOK produced 60.5 thousand tons, and Bozumchak mine in Kyrgyzstan produced 29.3 thousand tons.
This year KAZ Minerals plans to produce 270 to 300 thousand tons of copper.
