Expanding cooperation between industry and the university by signing a memorandum of understanding between Sungun Copper Complex and Azad University of Varzaqan

The head of the Azad University of Varzaqan said: Considering that the Varzaqan region is the most mineralized part of the northwest of the country, the implementation of development projects and research activities in the mineral sector is one of the important capacities that is considered by the Varzaqan unit.

Hojatollah Mahbubipour added: "Given this capacity and with the approval and support of the head of the Islamic Azad University of East Azarbaijan, and with planning, the next few days will come to an end with the largest mine in the northwest of the country, the Sungun copper mine. This memorandum is in the form of implementation of research projects and includes various researches in the field of mining and downstream industries of copper that include fields such as mining, chemistry, materials and casting, etc.


The head of Islamic Azad University of Varzaqan continued: the existence of casting plant in this area and the construction of a melting plant can provide opportunities for entering the Varzaqan unit to solve the problems of these industries and implement various projects. Of course, there is a good understanding of these challenges and the ways to improve the performance of these industries in the Varzaqan unit.
