Mining News Pro - SIMPEC has been awarded a second order with BHP at the South Flank iron ore project in the Pilbara, Western Australia.
In February, SIMPEC, a subsidiary of WestStar Industrial, was awarded an order to conduct a constructability and estimate review desktop study for BHP at the project.
Under the scope of the current order, SIMPEC will provide expert engineering services to BHP in relation to efficiently completing the ore handling plant area.
SIMPEC managing director Mark Dimasi commented: “We are pleased to be working with BHP on South Flank and look forward to this early involvement in the project translating into further works.
WestStar director Bert Mondello added: “It’s a testament to the SIMPEC team that they have forged a direct partnership with BHP in less than 12 months of operation.
