Mining News - Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) produced 3105 MT hot metal on June 28, 2018 to record the highest single-day production since inception. The Kalinga Nagar based company also registered the highest single-day Pig Iron production of 2935 MT on the same day.
Mr S S Mohanty, Vice-Chairman & MD, NINL congratulated the NINL collective for the achievement and encouraged to take the company to the next level.
In the coming few months, the integrated steel company has plans to start its Steel Melting Shop (SMS) and operation of its captive mines which will be game changer for the company to move ahead in its turnaround plan.
The blast furnace of NINL surpassed 3000 MT-mark per day hot metal production for the first time on May 13, 2018 when it produced 3001 MT. Going ahead, it produced 3023 MT a day after.
