The Ministry of Housing and Mortgages revises the mining legislation and modifies the composition of the High Council of Mines

Considering this year`s naming of the Iranian product by the Supreme Leader, attention to domestic production, especially in the field of industry and mining, is one of the most important issues and priorities of the country.


Hamid Reza Masoumi, a member of Iran`s mining house and CEO of Suraving Aghig Co., said at the ceremony, "It will not be enough to have mineral deposits without investment and technology, and we see that the government`s currency decisions have made mining trouble.


Masoumi said: "Although mining and mineral industries play an important role in industrial development, mining operations require infrastructure, including transportation." He said: exploitation of mineral resources should be such that this national wealth will be preserved for generations to come. Masoumi, saying that during past months, especially after currency inflammation, activists have gone through difficult days, said: "Today, after the government`s orders for a single exchange rate, access to mineral equipment is almost impossible, while the development of the sector No machinery can be mined.

He added that today the share of employers `and mining contractors` insurance has increased by 31%, and the tax administration has been increasing its vigilance in 2016 and 2017.


The member of Iran`s mining house and CEO of Suraving Aghig Co.continued: Despite the adoption of a single window, activists in this area are faced with a lot of problems in the relevant organizations and obtain licenses sometimes at a few years, and it is imperative that the ministry, given the existence of the 5,000 mines, the consortium should be considered as the priority.

At the end, he proposed to the Ministry of Interior to revise the new tolls for mining and quarry industries and reform the composition of the Mine Superintendence.
