“According to the sixth plan of development, all profits and incomes from mining will be used to develop itself.” Said Darius Esmaeli, head of the Mining fraction of the parliament.
“Employment and recognizing non-metallic mines have been started and now we are working in coal mines in north provinces.” Said Ali Asghar Pormand, Director of the board of MIDHCO Holding Group. “We need 3 million coals per annum. Procedure of MIHDCO in working on non-metallic mines. We hope to ease the process of supply the required materials for mining complex by signing the contract.”
“Golgohar main activity is processing, iron ore and we are participating in this plan to supply the first materials of steel.” Said Naser Taghi Zadeh, director manager of Golghar. “The amount of credits allocated to the mining sector from its revenues was 10 to 15 in the past, but for the first time this number has reached to 80 percent.”
“85 percent of employment and 65 percent of mineral production is from small mines. The private sector is using modern machineries and they are building processing units in some small mines to increase the efficiency to 400 percent.” Said Bahram Shakouri, head of mine and mineral commission of the chamber of commerce.
“Iran Iron ore association is recognizing mines which need more help by investing. After that, we are analyzing every one of them to find the potentials, then we will introduce them to investors.” Said Mehrdad Akbarian, director of Iran’s iron ore producers and exporters. “The point of executing this protocol is restored small and medium mines, decreasing the final price of mines and finish the processing units. We are promising to achieve all points which set for the mining sector”
Two cooperating contracts signed to restore 500 small and medium mines, during the ceremony. One contract signed between Mine House, IMIDRO, MIDHCO and mining deputy of the ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade. MIDHCO is working on non-metallic part of the contract.
Also, Mine House, IMIDRO, Golgohar and mining deputy of the ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade signed another contract. Golgohar is participating in this contract to supply steel first materials.
Activating small mines and increasing employment and efficiency, increasing the level of mining knowhow in the country by educating personnel and increasing the production of semi-active mines by providing a stable market, are the main ideas of this contract.
