Mining News Agency -According to the trade statistics, South Korea imported around 1.13 million tons of ferroalloy in 2017, up by 2.9% year on year.
Mining News -Among them, the imports of high-carbon ferrochrome accounted for the most of around 550,000 tons; followed by ferrosilicon of around 263,000 tons; followed by silicon manganese of around 128,000 tons.
In 2017, South Korean ferroalloy exports totaled around 228,000 tons, down by 16.3% from the same period a year ago.
Among them, the exports of low carbon ferromanganese accounted for the most of around 155,000 tons; high-carbon ferromanganese ranked second of around 42,400 tons; ferromolybdenum ranked third of around 16,400 tons.
