C60 ingot production in Esfahan Steel Company

In line with the production of high added value productions, the production of C60 ingots was included in the steelmaking management program and 7000 tons of this sample were produced.

Siavash Khajavi, manager of ESCO’s steelmaking line, says that due to the application of this steel in sensitive and strategic conditions, sulfur, phosphorus and active oxygen were placed at a low level in the melting process.

“According to the customer's request, after preparation in LF, it was transferred to VD, and before casting, degassing operation was performed on it, and about 7000 tons of C60 melt was delivered. By using slide casting method we surge the melt’s quality.” he added.
