Mining News Pro - Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla, announced the launch of an exploration tender for iron, copper, phosphates, lead, kaolinite, potassium salt, white sand, Nasser Lake clay, and accompanying minerals.

The bids can be submitted until 15 March 2021, El-Molla added.
Investors will be given the opportunity to bid on several blocks over an area of about 16 square kilometres.
Each block will be administered under a tax and royalty scheme.
El-Molla further revealed that the petroleum ministry aims to attract $1 billion investments to the mining sector by 2030.
