Mining News Pro - US base metals miner Freeport-McMoRan on Friday announced the appointment of Josh Olmsted as president and COO – Americas to succeed Harry ‘Red’ Conger upon his retirement.
Following a 33-year career with Freeport-McMoRan, 64-year old Conger had elected to retire with effect from September 1.
Mining engineer Olmsted, 49, currently serves as senior VP – Americas. He has 28 years of experience in the Freeport-McMoRan organisation, including senior leadership roles at several operating sites in the US and South America.
