Mining News Pro - Construction and development activities at Aim-listed Scotgold Resources’ Cononish gold and silver mine, in Scotland, will resume on June 15.
The mine has been on care and maintenance since March 27.
Work will start on the critical path activities, most notably of which is the construction of the process plant building and, in parallel, the remaining earthworks will be undertaken.
The mining team will be brought pack progressively over the next two weeks and refresher training and familiarisation with the new safe operating practices, which the team, together with management, has focused on preparing over the last two weeks.
The team and management have also focused on the installation of the additional site infrastructure necessary to ensure that work can resume in compliance with the latest Covid-19 guidance.
Underground development, on a single shift basis, is expected to resume from July 1.
