Mining News Pro - Detour Gold Corp. of Toronto has named Bill Williams as interim CEO, following the resignation of Michael Kenyon. The company is seeking a permanent executive.
According to Mining News Pro - Following its takeover by Zijin Mining Group, Vancouver’s Nevsun Resources has announced these executive appointments: Xian Jian Guo as CEO and Xuelin Cai as CFO. The board of directors was replaced and now includes Qixue Fang, Xian Jian Guo, Qiang Liu, Harry Zheng Tian and Kaihui Yang.
Strongco Corp. of Mississauga, Ont., has promoted Kevin Disher to the position of regional VP, Case division. He joined the company in 2012 as sales manager for the Case division in Ontario.
Vancouver-based Taseko Mines has named Kenneth W. Pickering to its board of directors. He will also chair the company’s environmental, health and safety committee. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and AMP Harvard Business School.
