According to Mining News Pro - The effects of US sanctions on steel industry of Iran in the year 2019 is one of the important issues. The last August, new sanctions has been implemented against Iran and Fourth of July, the second round of it begun. Now, it turns out that they will have negative effects on the steel export of Iran.
According to World Steel Association, in 2017, Iran produced 7.46 million tons of semi-finished and final steel products. Exports of semi-finished steel products such as billet and slab reached 6.87 million tons.
At the moment, although the total exports of Iranian steel to 7.70 million tons in 2018, the growth rate was far-fetched and unbelievable. In fact, the adverse effects of sanctions are appearing.
