According to Mining News Pro - Artemis Resources has announced that it had recovered a total of seven kilograms (or 225 ounces) of conglomerate gold nuggets from its exploration activities.
All the nuggets were extracted from its Purdy’s Reward gold discoveries and 47K patch, which lies within the company’s Well West tenement package, south of Karratha in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Prior to Artemis’ 50:50 joint venture with Novo Resources in August last year, Artemis recovered just under one kilogram (or 32 ounces) of nuggets from Purdy’s Reward.
Artemis chief executive Wayne Bramwell said, “Exploration on our 47K target is focused upon understanding the structural controls and geology of the mineralising system.
“We are working closely with the CSIRO and a benefit of ground work here is that we continue to add to our stockpile of nuggets.”
Artemis and the CSIRO are currently completing a sub-audio magnetics geophysical survey over the 47K patch.
Bramwell added, “The interest from North American investors in conglomerate gold opportunities remains high, and as such, the company will be marketing in the US during September and evaluating options to enhance its over-the-counter listing there.”
The Artemis-Novo joint venture is managed by Novo’s subsidiary Karratha Gold, with Artemis contributing to further exploration and mining on a 50:50 basis.
