Mining News Pro - Gold miner Northern Star Resources has introduced EHS Data’s MonitorPro environmental reporting software to the South Kalgoorlie mine in Western Australia.
The MonitorPro system has been used at Northern Star’s gold mines for several years.
Northern Star acquired the South Kalgoorlie operation from Westgold Resources in March. The acquisition has allowed the EHS Data team to implement a hosted MonitorPro desktop solution, bringing the mine in line with Northern Star’s five other assets.
According to EHS Data, the results have allowed Northern Star’s environmental team to streamline its reporting structure by replacing an old spreadsheet system into a single, centralised source of data for the entire environmental operations.
The South Kalgoorlie site, about 50km from Northern Star’s Kundana operations, includes a processing facility and 800 square kilometres of gold tenure.
EHS Data managing director Phil Ely said, “The EHS Data team are committed to providing new and existing clients excellence in both innovative technology and service. We look forward to working with the environment team at South Kalgoorlie.”
MonitorPro has over 1000 global users, which use the system to centralise and manage data.
