Mining News Agency -According to the statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported around 1.07 million tons of hot-rolled coil in the first quarter this year, slightly up from 1.06 million tons in the same period last year.
Mining News -Among them, the imports from Russia were around 353,000 tons, sharply down from 630,000 tons in the same period a year ago; those from Ukraine were around 153,000 tons, up by 77% from the same period a year earlier. The imports from the two top importers accounted for 48% of the total.
Besides, the imports from France were around 98,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 69%; those from the Netherlands were around 86,000 tons; those from Germany were around 65,000 tons; those from Spain were around 47,000 tons; those from Belgium were around 23,000 tons; those from Italy were around 18,000 tons; those from Romania were around 41,000 tons; those from India were around 36,000 tons; those from South Korea were around 31,000 tons; those from China were around 4,300 tons.
