Mining News Pro - Austmine has received the federal government’s business grant for the annual Austmine 2021: Harnessing Intelligence Conference and Exhibition.
The funding sits under the government’s $1 billion Relief and Recovery Fund, which is providing assistance to sectors, regions and communities disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Austmine 2021 promises to instill confidence back into the business events sector.
Participants may now be eligible for sponsorship of up to 50 per cent the costs of attending, exhibiting or sponsoring the event.
Austmine stated that the grant would help the Australian mining equipment, technology and services (METS) sector connect with the key decision-makers and brightest minds in the world of mining innovation, at a conference which would be one of the first opportunities for the industry to come together under one roof.
“After a prolonged period of online operations and decreased opportunities to network, Austmine 2021 will serve as the go-to event to hear what’s next in mining innovation from our esteemed speakers and connect with like-minded individuals to drive further value for your business, the METS sector and the mining industry,” it stated.
Speakers at Austmine 2021 will include Newmont Australia regional senior vice president Alex Bates, Lynas Corporation managing director Amanda Lacaze, OZ Minerals managing director Andrew Cole, Roy Hill chief executive Barry Fitzgerald and Yancoal chief executive David Moult.
It will be held from May 25-27 in the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
