Mining News Pro - Chairman of the board of IMIDRO said that a 2.5m tons plant opened recently in the first phase and in the second phase another 2.5m ton plant will be opened in the next 40 to 50 days.
Khodadad Gharibpour also mentioned that IMIDRO is responsible for raw material supply of major companies in Iran. Raw material supply for MSC (Mobarakeh Steel Company) is one their major priorities.
“In small-scale mines revival plan, one of our first priorities is to supply raw materials of Mobarakeh Steel,” he emphasized.
“The new plant in Sangan with 2.5 million tons of capacity balances the steel supply chain. This strategic plan was implemented by IMIDRO and cooperation of Mobarakeh Steel,” Gharibpour added.
He mentiond the economic benefits of this plan and believes that opening of the new plant underlies an increase in employment and revenue in South Khorasan, Iran.
Sangan’s concentrate plant currently employed 3500 person and pellet plant has employed 1750 people.
