According to Mining News Pro - Jajarm Alumina Company is the only producer of alumina powder in Iran, which feeds many factories in the country.

Annually, about 240,000 tons of alumina powder and 10,000 tons of alumina ingots are produced in this production unit, which meets part of the Iran's needs. This strategic production unit needs bauxite raw materia, and in this regard, to meet its needs, it has explored the mine inside the province and abroad.

"Tash" mine in Semnan province is one of the mines whose exploitation license belongs to Jajarm Alumina Company, but since 2019, the company has not been allowed to extract from this mine.
