CGL will be tasked with the loading of concentrate into trailers on site, road transport to Wyndham and discharge of concentrate into the Wyndham shed.

A local contractor based in Kununurra, CGL also won a three-year supply contract which will see them remain as the preferred supplier of stevedoring services at the Wyndham port when concentrate shipments resume.

The contract comes as Panoramic announced an update on their Savannah Nickel project, with underground mining progressing well since mining commenced in July 2021.

Underground mining contractor Barminco has carried out its activities safely, assisting Panoramic to meet its operational and financial performance targets to this point.

Single stope blasts of 30,000 tonnes have taken place with no technical difficulties while development drive dilution is currently sitting at 10 per cent which is better than expected.

Panoramic has implemented several improvement projects to further minimise dilution.

The grades mined to date are in line with expectations. Final grade reconciliation will be available once the processing plant has been commissioned and concentrate produced.

Throughout July and August, Panoramic has maintained one long hole rig, one jumbo and four trucks. A fifth truck is expected to arrive in September.

With processing set to commence in November, NRW Holdings subsidiary Primero has been on site since the middle of August completing familiarisation and preparatory work.

All maintenance works to date are ahead of schedule and within budgeted costs, while Primero is well placed to secure the necessary workforce to commence operations on time.

Panoramic’s goal for first nickel-copper-cobalt concentrate shipment is in December 2021.
