NPE provides specialised products, service and support to open cut mines, coal mines, metalliferous mines, process plants and oil and gas.

The organisation now has in excess of 6000 dewatering pumps and generators in its hire fleet spanning 12 branches across five states and one territory.

NPE will be able to better service their customers as a result of the purchase, further enhancing their pool of leading technical experts as they continue their clean energy, clean water and clean waste vision for the future.

NPE’s managing director Dave Campbell said the acquisition is momentous.

“We are all very excited by the acquisition of the Vortex Group which will see NPE become the largest specialty pump rental company in Australia,” he said.

“Our newly expanded footprint and capabilities will allow an even higher level of support for our customers with additional branch locations nationwide and the largest fleet of both specialised and standard dewatering hire equipment in the country.”

Established in Mackay in 2001, NPE has steadily established itself in the pump services arena, making four acquisitions in their time and now boasting more than 450 employees.

NPE supports the mining industry by providing dewatering, hydromining and water management solutions as well as other services such as slurry pumping, power generation, air compression, engineering and design.

The company can cover all requirements from general and civil construction, to mine site and dewatering, oil and gas, utilities and power generation.

NPE’s branches are located in Perth, Sydney, Mt Isa, Melbourne, Mackay, Kalgoorlie, Darwin and Brisbane.
