According to Mining News Pro - CEO of Esfahan Steel Company believes that removing export restrictions helps prevent local market fluctuations.

Mansour Yazdizade, chief executive of Esfahan Steel Company says that currently only Esfahan Steel Company, Mobarakeh Steel Co., Khuzestan Steel Co., Khorasan Steel Co., and few other major steelmakers respect the minimum supplies.

“Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade also agrees that the steel products should be supplied in the commodity exchange, and not in the free market in order to have a sustainable local market,” he added.

“Therefore, if all companies offer their products on the commodity exchange, the government will be reassured and there is no reason to tie exports to the minimum supply,” Yazdizade said.

He believes that in such circumstances, there is no need for government intervention and the stock exchange mechanism will regulate the market.
