According to Mining News Pro - Ali Palizdar said: “Considering the production of Japan and Korea, share of southern Asia is about 1 billion ton, therefore, Asia plays an important role in the future of Global economy due to its significant share in Steel and other minerals other than iron ore.

Palizdar mentioned that Iran will reach 55 million tons of crude steel production. Assuming 75% of the nominal capacity, we will produce 40 million tons of steel. Assuming a 250 kilogram and a population of 80 million people, steel consumption will be about 20 million tons. Therefore, the most important issue in the future of Iran`s steel is export markets and culture.

He explained: “If we want to increase our production capacity, we must build our new units outside the country, like Persian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Palizdar insisted on steel exports and said: “Iran has exported 8.5 million tons of steel last year and we want to make it 2.5 times more than last year. This requires the change in our export viewpoints and cultures. He called the main challenge of the country`s steel industry as raw materials and supplies and emphasized: “The existing reserves of iron ore in the country are sufficient for a maximum of 25 years of steel production, therefore, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Mine and also steelmakers should focus on exploring new things in steel industry. Mineral exploration is being done annually in mines like Australia, Canada, Brazil and South Africa.
