According to the public relations of Iran Mining and Mining Development and Renovation Organization, 9 major steelmakers of the country include Khuzestan Steel, Mobarakeh Steel, Esfahan Iron Ore, Hormozgan Steel, Iran Alloy Steel, Khorasan Steel, Azerbaijani Steel, South Kaveh Steel and Aksin Steel Co. in May, 838,974 tons of steel were exported, of which 577,596 tons of steel ingots (Bloom, Billet, Slabs and Slabs) and 261,778 tons of various steel products (rebar, hot plate, cold sheet, Wide sheet, beam, variety of coils and others)

During this period, 20,000 tons of sponge iron were exported.

Steel exports during the first two months of 2018 indicated that the companies exported a million and 249,918 tons of steel, up 25 percent year-on-year, compared to the same period last year.
