11% growth in crude steel production in Mobarakeh-Sangan Steel Group

According to Mining News Pro - From the beginning of April to the end of June, the pellet production of Mobarakeh Steel Group (Mobarakeh and Sangan Steel Company) increased by 6.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year to three million and 303 thousand tons.

Abbas Akbari, an official deputy of MSC said that the production of DRI in Mobarakeh Steel Group also increased by 7.4% and reached 3.29 million tons.

Also, in the first 3 months of this year MSC Group produced 2.99 million tons of slab.

Akbari pointed out that more than 90% of the country's HRC is produced in Mobarakeh Steel Group, said: “In the first quarter of this year, 1 million 484 thousand tons of HRC were produced in Mobarakeh Steel Company and 397 thousand tons of HRC were produced in Saba Steel Complex, which is an increase of 7.2 and 57.2 percent, respectively, compared to the same period last year."
