Mining News Pro - Russian miners working at the Komsomolsky mine in the Arctic city of Norilsk were evacuated on Sunday after smoke was reported at the facility, its operator said.
Metals giant Nornickel said no on had been injured in the incident, which is thought to have been caused by a defect in an underground mining vehicle.
The company said the smoke had been contained and that the mine’s activities would not be affected.
