Mining News Pro - Resolute Mining has deferred the planned 36-day shutdown of the sulphide processing circuit at Syama, Mali, from October to February.
This is to reduce potential delays associated with an extended wet season and rainfall, the company reported on Monday.
During the shutdown, the roaster refractory lining would be refurbished, but Resolute said that the roaster was still in a good condition and that the shutdown could be deferred.
The company would embark on a seven-day shutdown in late October for routine maintenance, to install an onstream analyser and sulphide cleaner cells.
The mill reline that had previously been scheduled for mid-2022 would be brought forward to align with the revised shutdown in February to minimise downtime.
The miner maintained its production guidance of between 315 000 oz and 340 000 oz at an all-in sustaining cost of $1 290/oz to $1 365/oz.
