According to Mining News Pro - By producing and consuming processed gases, Esfahan Steel Company, in addition to self-sufficiency in electricity consumption, saves more than 60% in natural gas consumption annually.
“More than 800 million square meters of processed gas is produced in this company and we don’t have to worry about energy saving,” said Asghar Amini, Energy Manager of ESCO.
Amini said that 75 percent of global steelmakers use blast furnace and using this method saves up to 60 percent of energy. While in Iran only 10 percent of steelmakers use blast furnace,” he explained.
