Asghar Madani, deputy of operation in Hormozgan Steel Company (HOSCO) said that reaching a new production record in less than two months after the first record show that this company has a strong will to reach an annual record.
“In November, HOSCO produced 138226 tons of slab that counts as new record in production,” he said.
“However, that was not the only record in November. The company had 8 new record during the mentioned period such as daily and monthly slab production, daily and monthly number of melt discharge, daily and monthly number of melt casting,” he Madani added.
He emphasized that this growth is at the same time with US sanctions and the third wave of covid19 pandemic.
“There are things that led us to these records and one of them is the power-on time of furnaces. Continuous casting of graphite, consistency of chemical analysis of DRI, metallization increment, and observance of consumable standards such as lime and dolomite was the other reasons for this success,” he explained.
Madani hopes that the production chart will reach the annual production record this year as in previous years.
