Mining News Pro - Minister of industry, mine and trade believes that Iran needs 5 million tons of steel coils every year and development projects in Mobarakeh Steel company will accelerate the process.
According to Mining News Pro - Alireza Razmhoseini, the minister of industry, discussed different titles about steel market and policies in a meeting with Islamic parliament members.
He considered the review of development plans in the field of steel production, especially steel coils, as another topic in the meeting.
“Iran’s annual demand for steel coils is around 5 million tons. Therefore, I believe that starting the development plans in Mobarakeh Steel company will help accelerating the process,” he said.
“Sanctions made some problems for us but through cooperation with other companies not only we supply the domestic demand, but the surplus production could be exported,” the minister said.
Razmhoseini also believes that graphite electrode is a strategic product for Iran’s steel industry which the manager must take it seriously.
