The contract will see RDG’s subsidiary, Central Systems complete the works at Cloudbreak by late November.

Another RDG subsidiary Crushing Service Solutions also secured a contract with Tiny SXO Gold Mining to provide crushing and screening services at the Minjar gold plant near Southern Cross, Western Australia.

The value of these contracts totals $26 million, with the separate figures not publicly announced yet.

The Cloudbreak operation is an iron ore mine located in the Chichester Hub, which also holds Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine.

Fortescue’s annual production capacity at the Chichester Hub is 100 million tonnes per annum.

The Cloudbreak mine has a five-kilometre relocatable conveyor and two semi-mobile primary crushing stations that feed into its ore processing facility.

Fortescue plans to convert all haul trucks across its Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek mines to become fully autonomous by September this year.

The company yesterday announced that it had converted 108 haul trucks in the Chichester Hub.
