Mining News Pro - Advisor to CEO of National Iranian Copper industries company mentioned in a note that copper is a strong weapon for fighting coronavirus.
According to Mining News Pro - Maryam Kargar Razi, spoke about the benefits of copper element for fighting against covid-19.
“Experts suggest widespread use of copper alloys in public spaces to reduce the prevalence of covid-19. According to microbiologists and chemists, coronavirus could not last long in copper surfaces. Copper can destroy the virus effectively,” she said.
“Copper is a strong weapon which can be used against the virus. Historically, the element and its alloys are known for its antibacterial features. After antibiotics, copper’s medical treatments almost is forgotten because of the new substitute. Nowadays, the world is focused or treatment of this pandemic but keep in mind that prevention also is especially important. Researches show that copper alloys have the potential to control the spread of infectious diseases and reduce the effects of future pandemics,” Kargar Razi explained.
