NICICO Among the Safest Companies in Iran’s Mining Industry

According to Mining News Pro - Ardeshir SadMohammadi, CEO of NICICO announced that this company is the first Iranian company that gain the permanent membership of International Social Security Association of Mining.

“We believe that production jump should be alongside with safety in order to protect our human resource,” he added.

He emphasized that National Iranian Copper industries Company is one of the bests in the field of safety among Iran`s mining companies.

Two major steps have been taken for increasing mining safety last year: mining safety conference and launching Weekend startup.

“In this two-day conference, articles on mine safety and mining industries were presented, as well as workshops on safety issues in mines. The important point of this conference for NICICO was the negotiation with Helmut Ehnes, secretary general at ISSA. The negotiation led to company’s permanent membership in ISSA. This will give us a brighter future,” he explained.

Weekend startup was the second major step in the field of mining safety with focus on smart technologies in Iran which was held last year in NICICO complex. The event focused on choosing the ideas for preventing the accidents and increasing the mines and mining safety.
