Mining News Pro - Vietnam based mills are heard to have booked 10,000 MT of HRC for imports from the Japan-based Nippon Steel, SteelMint learned in a recent conversation with reliable sources.
According to Mining News Pro - The deal price in around USD 470/MT CFR basis.
At the beginning of this week, Japanese mill had booked 20,000-30,000 MT HRC at a similar price level for Mar-end-Apr Shipments.
“Buyers remained cautious about further fall in prices on bearish market sentiment,” shared by HRC importer in Vietnam.
Current HRC import offers to Vietnam
- HRC (SAE 1006, 2mm), China- Benxi is offering at USD 475/MT CFR basis.
- HRC (SAE 1006, 2mm), China- Baosteel is offering at USD 475/MT CFR basis.
- HRC (SAE 1006, 2mm), China- Shancheng is offering at USD 475/MT CFR basis.
- HRC (SAE 1006, 2mm), Japan- JFE is offering at USD 473/MT CFR basis.
- HRC (SAE 1006, 2mm), South Korea- POSCO offering at USD 480/MT CFR basis.
- Vietnamese domestic integrated steel manufacturer Formosa Ha Tinh will revise its HRC (SAE 1006, 2mm) price towards the end of the next week, as per sources
- In line with this it was heard that Indian HRC export offers to Vietnam fell by USD 5-10/MT and current indications are around USD 480-485/MT CFR basis. At the beginning of the week, offers were heard around USD 490/MT CFR basis.
