Take a look at IMIDRO`s actions from year 13 to 17
Mining News - The IMIDRO Organization for Development and Renovation of Mining and Mining Industries (IMIDRO), as one of the country`s development agencies since the second half of 2013, reconsidered its strategy and believed in the presence of the private sector in the economy of mining and mineral industries, a new chapter In his plans and operations, he was able to achieve significant results in the development of the mining and mineral sector of the country during this period. As an organization with stagnant plans until the first half of 2013, it became a genuine development organization and was able to manifest its role as one of the goals of a resilient economy among officials and people.

The implementation of semi-active and stagnant projects with several years of experience and the launch of new projects in this period showed the reality of this belief. The implementation of the seven provincial steel projects, and their gradual delivery - which had a long interruption - as well as the implementation of projects such as the $ 1.2 billion Southern Aluminum and $ 1 billion of lead and zinc in Mahdi Abad, including these.

Meanwhile, IMIDRO, utilizing effective talks with companies and domestic and international technology companies, has launched other projects, including several iron ore processing plants in Sangan, titanium kahnoj, Parsian port, Alborz Central coal mine, 40,000 projects Jajarm Aluminum Tin, Graffiti Electrode, Dipped Antimony, Hormoz and Harmazan Power Plant, Zarshuran Gold, Potash Khor and Biabanak, Qatran Zarand Refinery,
Sangan concentrate and pelleting plant, special energy sector, equipping Golgohar mines 4-6, Khomrod coal and Green Keck production along with other mining and mineral sector projects. In this regard, the use of Iranian knowledge of the production of sponge iron by Pered method (PERED) was an effective step in the implementation of Iranian technology in the steel chain, which appeared in three direct rehabilitation plants last year.

$ 5.3 billion investment

With the start of the eleventh government in the second half of 2013, numerous projects in the mining and mineral sector were stagnant and inactive. With the new strategy that was designed and implemented by IMIDRO, the presence of the private sector was highlighted and, as a result, it could activate or implement the project with the participation of this sector of 32 trillion tomans. This strategy is in line with the resistance economy and the expansion of the private sector presence. During this time, more than $ 5.3 billion in different parts of the country came into operation.

In the meantime, IMIDRO, with the participation of the private sector, operated 27 large projects in the mining and mineral sector valued at 3.7 billion and 5 thousand dollars between 2013 and 2015, resulting in a total of 7,660 Direct employment was created.

Opening over $ 2.3 billion with 4800 jobs

In the year 2017, IMIDRO, with the participation of the private sector, employed 23 projects in the mineral sector and the mineral industry, worth over $ 2.3 billion. The total direct employment of these projects was 4850 people. Meanwhile, 3 direct regeneration units of the provincial steels with Iranian technical knowledge (PERED) were opened. Also, 10 million tons of pellet production capacity and 2.5 million tons of iron ore concentrate production capacity were utilized in Sangan Mining Complex.

Production of mining and mineral products in 2017

Steel production and export

From the beginning of March to the end of March last year, steelmaking companies produced 21 million and 884 thousand tons of crude steel. The figure was 18 million and 466 thousand tons in 2016, which represents a 19 per cent growth.

In addition, over the course of the 12 months of the year 969, 19 million and 776 thousand tons of steel products were manufactured in the country (cord, beam, widescreen, rebar, hot plate, cold sheet, coated sheet, etc.). The production of these products amounted to 95, 18 million and 151 thousand tons, which represents an increase of 9 per cent. During the year 96, 161 thousand tons of copper, 337 thousand tons of aluminum, 240 thousand tons of alumina and 58 million tons of iron ore were produced.

Exports 10.7 billion dollars

Last year, the value of Iranian mining and mineral products exports reached more than $ 10.7 billion. Exports accounted for 22% of the country`s total exports. For the first time, Iran`s steel exports grew by 39 percent to 9.48 million tons in the year 96. During the same period, the growth of the sponge iron and the 10.4% growth of the cement has grown by 300%.

During this period, 713 thousand tons of sponge iron was exported, which is an increase of 315 percent of exports of this product, compared to last year`s statistics (172 thousand tons). Thus, the total steel chain export was 9 million and 208 thousand tons.

Start 4 big plans in 2017

In 2017, four large projects were launched, which resulted in the employment of 2,500 people. In the meantime, the plan to construct a concentrate plant on Mehdi Abad is of particular importance. The titanium project and the Parsian Port are also among the priority projects of IMIDRO.

Discover new reserves

Until the start of the eleventh government, one of the issues that threatened the mining and mineral industry of the country was the reduction of mine reserves, and thus, among the main concerns of Imidra in the eleventh government, was the implementation of the exploration program . Therefore, the program of exploration of the eleventh government began with the coordination and the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Mining and Trade, Imidra, and the Iranian Geological Survey and exploration, which is carried out by Imidoro. Planning for the exploration of 250,000 square kilometers was a priority, and the program started seriously in the spring of 2014. According to statistics, this exploration has almost doubled the number of discoveries in the past 80 years.

In 2016, the identification phase of 100% of the areas was completed, and in some of these areas, the adventure phase and public exploration have been well advanced. So far, 400 promising areas of mining have been identified in 21 provinces of the country, and by the end of 2017, the first achievements of the exploration plan have been announced, indicating the growth of reserves of valuable minerals in the country. Over this period, about 500 million tons of iron ore, 345 million tons of carbon offs, 220 million tons of coal, 103 million tons of barite, 21 million tons of bauxite, 30 thousand tons of antimony, 65 thousand tons of rare earths and 42 tons of gold, Increased.

The total exploration costs of Iran Mining and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization and subsidiaries and affiliates in 2017 reached over 1146 billion riyals, while in 2016, 1080 billion rials were spent in this sector. The total excavation in 2017 reached 119,000 meters, while the total digging of the same period of the previous year was 105,000 meters.

The program will open the $ 6.1 billion plan in 2018

IIMIDRO will launch this year (18) 33 projects worth more than $ 6.1 billion. These designs are in different parts of the steel chain, the copper, aluminum, lead and zinc chains, rare earth elements and infrastructure.

During the year 2018, 14 new or re-activated designs will be put into operation. The value of these projects is $ 3.7 billion. These plans are for copper, steel, coal and gold. Some of these projects include Jajarm Aluminum Billet, Dushanbe Phase, copper valley valley, Taft copper mines, Gulf alumina and Makran steel.
