Iranian steel exports to US skyrockets before US implement sanctions
Mining News - According to statistics from IMIDRO, Iranian steel exports have increased significantly from major steel producers in recent months due to the US sanctions against Iranian steel industries.

In the first 2 months, Iranian major steel producers exported around 1.3 million tons of finished steel and semi-finished steel products, which was an increase of 25% from the same period last year. Iran exported 860,000 tons, an increase of 104% from the previous month and an increase of 36% year-on-year.

Iranian largest producer, Mobarakeh Steel Co. (MSC), exported around 240,000 tons of steel products for a 2-month period, an increase of 73% year-on-year. However, the export volume in the recent months reached around 200,000 tons, including 78,000 tons of hot-rolled coil, which was an increase of 128% year-on-year.

Khouzestan Steel Co. (KSC) exported around 490,000 tons of billet and slab for a 2-month period, a increase of 7% year-on-year. Hormozgan Steel Co., an MSC subsidiary, exported around 120,000 tons of slab, a decrease of 22% year-on-year
