Mining News Agency -Reportedly, the overall steel output in the 66 World Steel Association (World Steel) member countries summed to 1.691 billion tons in 2017, up by 5.3% from the number of 1.606 billion tons for 2016.
Mining News -Industry participants attributed the output climbing to the strong global economy, citing the background that the world’s largest steel producer, China was reducing its capacity in the battle with pollution and industrial upgrading.
Based on China’s official data released, the average daily steel output of December had fallen from 2.205 million tons to 2.16 million tons.
