Karbasian Emphasizes on Utilization of Foreign Consultants in Mining Sector

Mining News - According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, “our consultants should provide situation for achievement to international standards by application of scientific experiences and new technologies”, Karbasian announced, during a meeting in Angouran Complex, located in Takab County in East Azerbaijan province.

He added that government’s diplomacy in mining sector is to outsource and assign mines to private sector.

In this meeting, Vajihollah Jafari, Managing director of IMPASCO expressed: “our plan includes accelerating in mining exploration plan around Angouran zone and necessary actions for following the mineral identification plan”.

5 Million Tonnes Open Pit Reserves

Managing director of Angouran mining complex announced that based on the contract, we have stripped 5 million and 800 thousand square kilometers and also added one million tonnes further than the plan as well as achieving 5 million tonnes mineral reserves in open pit mines by october22, 2017.
He noted the extraction of 50 meters mineral and said:” we reached 21 thousand tonnes mineral during preparation period and 10 thousand tonnes mineral were sold as well”.

Shabani continued: based on statistics there are 32 million tonnes geological reserves and 14 million tonnes proven reserves in Angouran region.

Karbasian during a meeting with Managers of Zarshouran gold mining complex announced the increase of 30 tonnes gold reserves in Zarshouran region.

He added that gold production in last month was over 100 kilograms.

Deputy of Industry, Mine and Trade Minister declared that Zarshouran plant was operated in sanctions period without utilization of foreign technologies.

Second phase plan

During the meeting, Ravanbakhsh Amiri, Managing director of Zarshouran gold mineral and mining industries Development Company said:” in 2014 mining operations in Zarshouran were launched and production of minerals was started in October 2017”.

He added:” it is predicted that geological reserves includes near 26 million tonnes first grade ore”.

Managing Director of Zarshouran gold complex stressed that consumption of the plant is 107 tonnes gold ore and annual production capacity of the plant is 2000 kilograms.
