A good year for HOSCO/ Reaching over 1.5 million tons of slab production

According to Mining News Pro - Farzad Arzani, Chief executive of Hormozgan Steel Co. said that slab exceeded its nominal capacity of 1.5 million tons in this company. With the amount of 1,520,000 tons, slab production has grown by 4 percent in 1399 compared to the same period last year.

Producing 1.56 million tons in the new year
“Our plan is to increase the production this year by 9% and produce 1.65 million tons of slab,” Arzani said.

More than 8 percent growth in the DRI unit
“In 1398, HOSCO produced 1,524,000 tons of DRI and last year, despite the pandemic and production lines’ stop for 22 days, we succeeded to reach the nominal capacity of this sector (1.65 million tons).

High quality slabs in Iran
“With 98.75% of quality, HOSCO produces slabs with highest quality in Iran,” he said.
