Iran has 38 million tons of bauxite reserve

According to Mining News Pro - Sad Abdi, Nicico’s director of supervision and planning announced in the Third Conference and Exhibition of the Perspective of Iran`s Non-Ferrous Metals Industry that Iran is the seventh country in the world in terms of copper reserves.

“Iran’s bauxite reserve in 2019 was about 38 million tons. Average price of copper between 2017 to 2019 increased and the average price of copper in 2020 is about 6 thousand dollars in the world,” he said.

“World copper producers’ profit in 2017 was around 98 percent and in 2018 only one percent of the world`s copper units had negative profit margins,” he added.

He believes that gold’s price trend is going to be descending until 2024 while the other metals will grow.
