Mining News Pro - Uranium miner Energy Resources of Australia (Era) has reported a 10% decline in uranium oxide production from its Ranger mine, in the Northern Territory, for the quarter ended June.
Era on Wednesday reported that 377 t of uranium oxide was produced in the June quarter, down 10% on the previous quarter, while production in the six months to June reached 798 t, down 15% on the previous corresponding period.
However, production for the six months to June was in line with Era’s full year guidance of between 1 200 t and 1 600 t.
Production in the June quarter was lower than the March quarter owing to the favourable drawdown of work in progress stocks, which occurred in the prior quarter, Era told shareholders
While milling rates in the June quarter increased by 4% on the previous quarter, production was negatively impacted by lower mill recovery.
